Location

The house

Salom Verd is a very special house located in a former farm that nowadays is dedicated to the breeding and recovery of the unique Mallorquin breed of horses. It is a wonderful place to enjoy an unforgettable holiday. The house nestles in a really quiet area surrounded by nature only 2km. away from the small village Es Llombards. This picturesque village offers two cafés, a bakery and two restaurant. Santanyi an inland town that is approx. 4 km away holds a well-know market every Wednesday and Saturday mornings. There are also shops, nice restaurants, cafeterias and some art galleries. The beautiful sandy coves Caló des Moro, Cala S'Almonia, Cala Llombards and Cala Santanyí are approx. 10 minutes drive.

There is AA/CC cold/warm with a limited timetable. Exterior The exterior is gorgeous and spacious with plenty space to walk around; ideal to relax and forget the stressful winter days. The house that is located on grounds of 100.000sq. with fig trees, carob trees, palm trees as well as young olive trees, is fully fenced with dry stone walls. Through the driveway, passing by the stable, we reach the villa with a well kept lawned garden. From here you will enjoy great views of the surroundings and the stable with the horses that have large areas to move. There is a covered terrace at the rear of the house with a brick built barbecue close by; perfect for al fresco dining. The brick built open tank used to store the water of the farm has been converted into a great pool area with a raised saltwater-pool (8.4m. x 3.8m. Depth 1m. min. – 1.8m. max) and a lovely sun terrace (19m.x 8.4m) with sun beds; all is surrounded by a security glass wall. From the sun terrace you will enjoy great views of all the property and even the town of Santanyi at the far end. At the rear of the house there is an exterior toilet that also holds the washing machine. The horses are not available for horse riding. You can neither feed them. Enclosed in the price are bed linen, towels for the house, tea towels, the final cleaning and other costs (electricity, water, gas). The first cot and highchair are included in the price.

The old farmer’s house has been completely renovated and converted into a high standard modern country house of 130 sq. metres with high quality furniture and finishing. The antique restored wooden door that dates back more than 200 years welcomes you to the house. From the hall there is access to the bright open living/dining room with open kitchen. The living/dining room is delightfully furnished with an Italian designed teak table, methacrylate dining chairs and comfortable sofas. This area is full of natural light as is surrounded by glass walls what allows the entrance of light yet not the heat (special glass). This very special feature allows us to enjoy the views of the surroundings and also the town of Santanyi at the far end without moving from the sofa. There is also a large patio door that connects to the front terrace. The open kitchen by the dining area is furnished to a very high standard. The house boasts two sunny bedrooms. A double bedroom with en suite walk-in shower room and access to the rear covered terrace. The other is also a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and access to the front terrace.
