A cosy, historic, approx. 110 m² holiday home surrounded by beautiful nature awaits you.The lovingly renovated mid-terrace house with garden is comfortably furnished and currently offers accommodation for 1 to max. 6 people, spread over 2 bedrooms, each with a box-spring bed - one measuring 1.60m x 2.00m and one measuring 1.80m x 2.00m - as well as the option of converting the couch in the living room into a double bed measuring 1.40m x 2.00m (Please note limited use of the living room during the day!). With a guest bed 0.90m x 2.00m, a third sleeping option can be made in the front bedroom: ideal for 5 people. A travel cot and a high chair are also available. A cozy, historic holiday home of approx. 110 m² awaits you in the former Reich Wealth Office from 1923 (still referred to as “Uff de Stell” by the citizens of Ludwigswinkl after 100 years). The listed property was built in strong baroque style reform architecture. The lovingly renovated mid-terrace house in the entire complex is comfortably furnished and currently offers accommodation for 1 to a maximum of 6 people, divided into 2 bedrooms, each with a box spring bed - one measuring 1.60m x 2.00m and the other measuring 1.80m x 2.00m - as well as the possibility of converting the couch into a double bed (140m x 200m) in the living room. There is also a travel cot and a high chair available. Since there is no central heating in this historic house, the living room is heated with a tiled stove. There is also a wood-burning stove in the kitchen and on the upper floor. Hot water is prepared via instantaneous water heaters. Don't have any experience with wood fires? No problem, we will be happy to explain it to you on site. An electric radiator and a permanently installed fan heater are also installed in the bathroom and guest toilet. If you don't want a wood fire, we can also provide electric radiators for the other rooms, just contact us. Since it is a mid-terrace house, it only cools down a bit during the seasonal months on really cold days. The advantage is that what protects against cold also protects against heat. With sensible ventilation, it stays pleasantly cool even in midsummer. We are located directly at the entrance to the state-recognized climatic health resort of Ludwigswinkel in the southwest Palatinate. The cycle path to the nearby swimming pond “Saarbacher Hammer” (Mühlweiher) begins in the immediate vicinity, as does access to the park “In den Talauen” and the nearby leisure area “Birkenfeld” with an adventure playground, mini golf course, tennis court and kiosk. Thanks to its wonderful location, the place offers you the perfect starting point for numerous activities in the biosphere reserve - Palatinate Forest - Northern Vosges. Colorful sandstone cliffs, premium hiking trails, castles, lakes and swimming ponds - not only for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, but also mountain bikers, gravel bikers, racing cyclists, climbers and motorcyclists have come to the right place.
In addition to numerous excursion options for the whole family, the gastronomy should not be forgotten. In a few minutes on foot you can reach the restaurant “Blick zum Maimont” and in the center of the town, also just a few minutes’ walk away, the restaurant “Zum Landgrafen”. In the seasonal months of April to October, we also highly recommend the kiosk with pizza and burgers in Birkenfeld (playground/mini golf course).
In the house you will find a kitchen with a 4-plate ceramic hob, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee machine and much more, as well as a dining table with space for up to 6 people. The living room with a comfortable sofa, satellite TV and a tiled stove promises cozy evening hours. The guest toilet on the ground floor should also be briefly mentioned here. On the upper floor there is the bathroom - equipped with a spacious shower, sink and toilet, as well as the two bedrooms - each equipped with an upholstered bed for 2 people and a wardrobe. In the garden (which can be reached through the cellar exit) you will find an outdoor area with seating and a grill.
Your car can be parked in front of the house free of charge.A wonderful region of castles, rocks, lakes, meadows, forests and mountains awaits you around the holiday home as far as the eye can see. Regionally you will find several PfälzerWaldVerein huts such as the nearest PWV hut “Hohe List”, the Busenberg PWV hut at Drachenfels, PWV hut Dahn in Schneiderfeld (Moosbachtal), PWV hut Hauenstein (Winterkirch´l Erfweiler) and many more also in the direction of Vorderpfalz in the wine region around Landau.

In the region you will also find the only Berwartstein Castle near Erlenbach that is still inhabited today, with a guided tour and stories about the robber baron Hans Trapp; the highest castle ruins in the Palatinate, the “Wegelnburg” and the visitor ore mine in Nothweiler; the Trifels Imperial Castle: this is where the imperial insignia was kept and where King Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner... Unusual rock formations such as the Devil's Table, Bride and Groom, Locomotive Rocks and many, many more... Or discover the history of Ludwigswinkel via the historical circular hiking trail (the PfalzArt holiday home - "Uff de Stell" is already part of it; you can practically start at the front door) or marvel at the history of the French troop camp in the former locomotive shed - diorama " Camp de Ludwigswinkel" in the Schöntal district. Cyclists can also start a German-French bike tour right outside the door: the 28.3 km long friendship tour takes you past historical sites such as the "Black Board", the Area 1 facility from the Cold War and the legendary Wasigenstein castle ruins. ... Alsatian tarte flambée, Lewwerknepp and sauerkraut and much more - Palatinate and French cuisine round off the Palatinate offering. ... The “Schuhmeile” in Hauenstein (Hääschde) also welcomes you on Sundays and public holidays with countless shoe shops, a glass shoe factory and a shoe museum. The Dynamicum in Pirmasens, the Felsenland Badeparadies in Dahn, and the Reptilium in Landau are just a small selection of leisure options that offer fun and variety for the whole family, even in bad weather. The local community of Ludwigswinkel will be charging a guest fee from January 1st, 2024. The guest contribution, including tax, is €1.50 per person liable to pay the contribution and per night. Children up to the age of 16 are free. The guest fee is reduced by 50% for schoolchildren, minors in vocational training and for students up to the age of 25. Corresponding proof (pupil and student ID) must be presented.
The prices include final cleaning!
Minimum overnight stay is three days.

Arrival and payment After a successful request, we will charge a deposit of 20% of the calculated stay costs. Payable within 14 days by bank transfer. When we receive the deposit we will set the reservation to occupied. The remaining amount can be paid via bank transfer shortly before your arrival or directly on site in cash (at the beginning or during your stay). However, it is due no later than 2 days before departure. Please understand that we will no longer refund the deposit in the event of short-term cancellations or if a third party can no longer make a subsequent booking.
