Treat yourself to some time out between vineyards, almond trees and the Palatinate Forest.

The house is located on the 'Hambacher Höhe' in Neustadt an der Weinstraße - a popular residential area below Hambacher Castle and the Palatinate Forest. The rosa.rod appartement is on the ground floor with direct access to the garden.

Rosa Rod was my grandmother's name. She was a master tailor and already had her own studio in the old town of Neustadt in the 1930s. In 1937, she and my grandpa built the 2-family house that is still in the family today.

The appartement is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, city strolls and much more. You can take the train to Mannheim, Kaiserserslautern or the regional train directly to Alsace.

The edge of the forest is 300m away from the house. The Neustadt train station and the old town can be reached in a good 10 minutes walk via the Hambacher Stairway.

The approx. 70 sqm appartement with living room, bedroom, conservatory, kitchen and bathroom is newly renovated and furnished in scandinavian style. The new fitted kitchen contains everything you need - of course also a coffee machine, kettle, microwave and dishwasher. The living room with sofa bed looks towards the garden and is open to the conservatory. The bright, spacious bedroom with a double bed has direct access to the shower room.

You can reach the garden from the conservatory via a small staircase or from the street via the courtyard gate. The large window front of the conservatory can be opened completely to the garden, so you can sit 'outside' even when the weather is not so good. There is a seating area in the garden. In summer, this is a nice place to sit outside. You can reach a bicycle cellar via the courtyard, where you can comfortably store your bicycles and charge them if necessary.
